A Major Milestone for Energy4All

We are thrilled to announce that Energy4All has been included in the open Positive Energy District (PED) database, developed in collaboration with COST Action PED-EU-NET and supported by ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy, and Sustainable Economic Development).

The PED database is a critical resource for stakeholders looking to establish energy communities and Positive Energy Districts (PEDs). Our inclusion reinforces the importance of community-driven approaches to renewable energy.

What’s in the PED Database?

The database provides in-depth information across various aspects, including:

  • Global Characteristics: Overview of energy projects’ goals and scopes.
  • Technological Solutions: Advanced energy systems and infrastructure.
  • Social Models: Insights into community participation and engagement.
  • Integrated Urban Strategies: Holistic approaches to energy within urban environments.
  • Environmental Strategies: Emphasis on sustainability and ecological impact.
  • Drivers and Barriers: Key factors influencing success.

About COST Action

The COST Action Positive Energy Districts European Network (PED-EU-NET) aims to mobilise researchers and other relevant stakeholders across different domains and sectors to drive the deployment of Positive Energy Districts (PEDs) in Europe through open sharing of knowledge, exchange of ideas, pooling of resources, experimentation of new methods and co-creation of novel solutions.

About ENEA

ENEA is a public research entity focusing on applied research, technology transfer, and advanced services in energy, environment, and sustainable economic development. Our collaboration with ENEA underscores Energy4All’s commitment to promoting innovation and sustainability.

Why This Recognition Matters

This milestone showcases the scalability and replicability of Energy4All’s community-driven approach to clean energy. By being part of the PED database, our project serves as a guide for others, facilitating the development of energy communities worldwide.
